Succession Planning
As senior executives and middle management retire, and with employee retention rates averaging six years in most organizations, succession planning becomes an integral part of every company’s strategic process.
Aberfoyle Consulting has developed best practices around succession planning that enable organizations to
- align succession planning with an organization’s core purpose and vision,
- establish a broad base of promoteable talent and leadership candidates,
- align with 3-5 year strategic plans,
- retain and develop existing talent within an organization,
- maintain high levels of engagement and performance,
- enhance an organization’s capacity to learn,
- implement mentoring programs and training modules for an organization’s talent pool,
- design job rotation schedules to enhance skill sets, and
- better assess the unique abilities of employees.
Assessing Team and Organizational Culture
Groups form their own culture — customs, values, and rituals that influence their levels of engagement, focus, and performance. By better understanding a team’s culture, including its characteristics, strengths, and limitations, your leaders will be better prepared to initiate impactful discussions with teams in a group setting or in a one-on-one environment.
Assessing team and organizational culture provides a platform for generating feedback, and subsequently, for making decisions to enhance group culture. Perceptual data and individually administered diagnostics are the basis of a detailed report.
Respondent’s names are not included, ensuring anonymity and a safe place from which to resolve issues, enhance employee satisfaction, and improve on-the-job performance.
Assessing Team and Organizational Culture may be used in conjunction with several of our workshops, including:

The Dimensions of Leadership Profile
Developing exemplary leaders is a core component of every organization. The Dimensions of Leadership Profile enables learners to explore leadership from three different perspectives: self as leader, another person as leader, or the need for leadership.
The profile then guides learners in their personal assessment of four broad aspects of leadership: Character, Analysis, Accomplishment, and Interaction.
Organizations and aspiring leaders use The Dimensions of Leadership Profile to
- develop personal leadership characteristics,
- develop an understanding of the leader-follower relationship,

The Coping and Stress Profile
